Brian Tetsuro Ivie

Ivie on set in 2022. Brian Tetsuro Ivie (born September 27, 1990 in Glendale, California) is a Japanese-American filmmaker, film producer and documentarian. A director of social issue dramas, he first came to prominence by directing the acclaimed, ''Emanuel,'' covering the Charleston church shooting. The film was executive produced by Oscar winner Viola Davis, Mariska Hargitay, and Stephen Curry.

Alongside his directing work, Ivie is known for producing such independent films as,''Wildcat'', directed by Ethan Hawke and ''The Queen of Basketball'', winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film.
