Gerard Arthur Way (born April 9, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter, and comic book writer. He released his debut solo album, ''Hesitant Alien'', in 2014.Way co-created and wrote the comic series ''The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys'' and ''The Umbrella Academy'', the latter of which was later adapted into a popular Netflix series that ran for four seasons.
