Lech Majewski

Lech Majewski (1953– ) Polish director and writer in Bytom, Poland Lech Majewski (pronounced , ‘Ma-yev-ski’) is a Polish-American poet, media artist, writer and director, member of the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Working internationally, he builds his visions in his films, installations, novels, theatre, and opera stagings. His artworks are shown in a variety of galleries and museums around the world. He lectures on hidden language of symbols at various universities, colleges and academies of art.

The Museum of Modern Art in New York honored him with a personal retrospective entitled Lech Majewski: Conjuring the Moving Image. Senior curator of this exhibition, Laurence Kardish, stated: ''“Lech Majewski’s visions touch hidden areas of the mind of contemporary man that have been neglected by other media.
