Review by Publisher's Weekly Review
In the dynamic spreads of Bruno Munari's Zoo (1963), Munari makes the most of white space, as a zebra enters from the left-hand page and exits on the right ("A zebra is an animal in striped pajamas"), with just a strip of midnight blue and a crescent moon at the top and a tuft of grass at the bottom edge of the pages. Other scenes depict the animals interacting ("When it rains, birds seek shelter under the elephant"), playing up the contrast between animal sizes. (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved
