Star Wars The annotated screenplays

In the wake of the recent rerelease (restored and expanded) of the immensely popular Star Wars movie trilogy, Bouzereau's realization of a concept so obvious one wonders why it wasn't done long ago should become a fan staple. He has interviewed those most responsible for the three science fiction epics--the directors, film editors, screenwriters, and visual and effects designers--about how the movies evolved into their final forms, and he now interlards the three continuity scripts (i.e., the words and scenes actually heard and seen in the finished films) with their comments. He produces a movie case-study book that should please nuts-and-bolts film fans almost as much as it will gratify the Star Wars hordes who always want more about their favorite flicks. --Ray Olson
