Review by School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 2-This slight paperback has one-or-two sentence, boxed captions per page describing what vets do. The format is disjointed and unattractive. There is no separation of pictures; unrelated, full-page photos bleed into one another. The brief text ends abruptly on the final page with no hint of closure. Stephanie Maze's I Want to Be a Veterinarian (Harcourt, 1997) is a better choice.-Sally R. Dow, Ossining Public Library, NY (c) Copyright 2010. Review by Horn Book Review

These brief introductions provide only the barest information about two popular professions. Large color photos bleed off the pages and are not particularly well composed; the presentation is randomly organized, jumping from subject to subject; and the texts are merely captions for the sometimes grainy photographs. There are better introductions available. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
