Review by School Library Journal Review
Gr 4-6-A look at what bones are made of, how they move, and how they grow throughout life, as well as fractures and how they are repaired is presented in the first title. Chalkboard describes the human eye and how it functions. It explains various problems and how they are corrected. Chicken Pox introduces the disease, the symptoms, how the body fights it, how it is spread, treatment, and new vaccines. Each book has appropriate suggestions for prevention and staying healthy. The texts are easy to read and contain a lot of information. The illustrations, sharp and in bright colors, are a combination of well-placed photographs, cartoons, and diagrams. These books have more medical information than the "Let's Talk Library" (Rosen).-Martha Gordon, formerly at South Salem Library, NY (c) Copyright 2010.
