The Photo Guide and Visual Companion are simply collections of screen shots with a minimum of text-very YA. The real gems here are Art of and (especially) Weapons and Warfare, true fan books that detail costumes, props, and set designs through photos and concept drawings. Gollum is a bit of a novelty for those interested in computer special effects, as actor Serkis, who provided Gollum's voice and physical movements, explains how graphics were used to create the screen character. The indie spirit A film doesn't need to be a sweeping epic featuring a cast of thousands to be good. The market for independent films is huge, so no film collection is complete without a few of these titles. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
