Review by Horn Book Review

A clearly written text presents a bland and simplistic look at Ellis Island. No mention is made of specific hardships faced by immigrants entering the station, save for not understanding English. While the museum at Ellis Island may be a very interesting place to visit, this book isn't a very interesting introduction. Stock photos illustrate the text. Bib., glos., ind. (c) Copyright 2010. Briefly describes the history of Ellis Island, what happened there when it was used as an immigration station, and how it became a national park in 1965.
