American anthropologist is not pleased to discover he's inherited a castle and land in the Highlands, thousands of miles away from his home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Tag seems eager to learn, so she fills him in on Celts and Picts and Druids whilst the wild wind blows and the sweet heather sends forth its stimulating scent o'er the rugged moors. Without central heating, Tag and Maura find new and ingenious ways to warm each other up, night after night. But, betrayed by a former lover, Maura doesn't quite trust Tag, and she hides her fear that he will sell her beloved Ballantrae. Perhaps he won't when he understands the centuries-old bond between the Morgans and Sinclairs--and what better place to teach him of that than in her loving arms?
