Eaton (Crochet Basics) has collected a bright mix-and-match collection of 200 crocheted blocks, including granny squares, geometric patterns, textured patterns, and blocks with central 3-D motifs. Actually, there are only 128 distinct squares, as several identical squares are shown in alternate color schemes. Information for each block includes round-by-round or row-by-row instructions, a full-color photo, cross references to other blocks you might mix and match with a given block, a list of yarns and colors used, and a symbol representing the level of difficulty of the pattern. A fabulous addition to public library creative crochet collections. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
