As a single mom holding down two jobs just to make ends meet, Zoe Fleming can always use a bit of extra cash. So renting out part of her home seems like a smart financial decision. The good news is that Zoe has a prospective tenant, sports columnist J. Cooper "Coop" McKinnon, even before her ad has a chance to run. At first, Coop seems determined to keep things between them on a strictly business footing, which is just what Zoe wants. But the more time Coop spends with Zoe and her young son, Keenan, the more interested he seems in a long-term future with them. Is it possible that when it comes to romance, the game isn't yet over for Zoe? This appropriately summery contemporary novella by Roberts first appeared in 2005 (hence the references to VCRs and fax machines), but in its first hardcover edition it still retains much of its cheery romantic charm, including some delicious glimpses of Roberts' delightfully subtle sense of humor.
