Review by Library Journal Review

Bob's Red MillR is well known to artisan and avid home bakers for its high-quality whole-grain flours and other products. Bob and Charlee Moore started the company in 1978, and their line of more than 300 products is increasingly available in supermarkets, as well as in natural food stores and through their web site. For this first book, they have collected favorite recipes for breads and muffins, focaccia and pizza, pies and cakes, cookies, and more; many of them come from winners of Bob's Red Mill baking contests or from other fans. The book also includes a short "Grain Primer," a glossary of other basic ingredients, and a brief section on baking equipment. The King Arthur Flour Baking Companion includes far more information, along with 400 recipes, but most subject collections will want to add this new title, with its emphasis on whole grains, as well.
