Sefton's series about knitting newbie Kelly Flynn, an accountant in Fort Connor, Colorado, continues with danger and yarn tangled together. Kelly is looking forward to starting up her alpaca ranch, but too-close-for-comfort vandalism leads her to believe someone doesn't want that to happen. Then murder strikes next door at her beloved House of Lambspun knit shop. Readers may guess early on who's responsible for the mayhem, but, happily, the why unwinds more slowly. Knitters will welcome the pattern for the same cloche hat that Kelly is knitting, and a recipe for pecan pie goes down easy, too.--Cooper, Ilene Copyright 2008 Booklist

In Sefton's chatty fifth knitting cozy (after 2007's A Killer Stitch), Colorado yarn aficionado Kelly Flynn investigates the murder of a member of her knitting group, whose body she discovers half-submerged in a dye tub in a yarn shop basement. Despite her friends' warnings, Kelly determines to catch not only the killer but also the vandal who's targeted her house and tried to poison her dog. Meanwhile, Kelly is busy remodeling her newly purchased alpaca ranch in a nearby canyon. When her car brakes fail and she barely escapes serious injury on a treacherous mountain road, Kelly fears this case could be her last. Instructions for knitting a cloche hat and a recipe for pecan pie round out a volume sure to please series fans. (June) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved
