Gr 3-8-Sweet Eats offers mouthwatering recipes, explains how to cook safely and efficiently, and introduces basic skills. In a breezy first-person style, the author covers such useful aspects as how to organize a work space, safety tips, the tools needed, and how and why to do things. The 35 recipes include a pie crust and various frostings/toppings and are accompanied by plenty of full-color visual aids along the way. Each recipe has a brief discussion, an equipment list, cooking time, yield, easy-to-follow directions, and tips to adapt the dish for different taste preferences.
