Review by Library Journal Review

Prayer shawls are a popular charity project, and this book is the first collection of patterns for these symbols of comfort. Bristow and Cole-Galo, the founders of shawlministry.com, present 38 patterns for prayer shawls, the majority of which are simple enough for knitters of any skill level to make and easily customizable. Stories from prayer-shawl knitters and recipients help demonstrate how meaningful these simple gifts can be to those in need. The focus of the nondenominational book is on knitting with intention, and the introduction explains what prayer shawls are and how they are imbued with the love and prayers of their creator.
