Gr 2-5-If the book's title doesn't attract readers, Cusick's explanations of ways various insects use poop (frass) will. Communication, camouflage, shelter, and fertilizer are among her examples. Insect butts also help in breathing, defense, and cocoon construction, as portrayed in large, clear illustrations. A unique way to introduce insect anatomy and activities. (c) Copyright 2011.
