Review by Library Journal Review

Well-known knitwear designer Nicholas presents a friendly, unintimidating guide to the complexities of Fair Isle knitting. All of the basics of the technique are described in detail, and a variety of practice projects are provided. Knitters who have experience with this technique will appreciate the charted glossary of common Fair Isle motifs, which can be used to create original designs. Fair Isle and color work could be the next knitting trend. A nice complement to Melissa Leapman's Color Knitting the Easy Way (see above), this is a good purchase, as many Fair Isle books feature outdated patterns. (c) Copyright 2010.
