Hey, I remember Green Lantern! He was in the Justice League (this Wikipedia entry written by a bunch of nerds who have no lives and who have probably never kissed a girl EVER for background). I learned that the Green Lantern isn't just one guy, it's a bunch of guys in this, like, corps of Green Lanternists who defend the universe. I thought he just teamed up with Batman and the frigging Wonder Twins sometimes. I also learned that it physically hurts ole GL when he uses the ring. Greenie, like most League of Justice guys, is decidedly unstoic. You can't trust Batman, for example, who exhibits much stoicism in the contemporary meaning of the word but is also a total psycho. I'll say that Captain America (who moved to Red Hook, Brooklyn, in the 2000s) seems genuinely stoic, but generally superheroes are very hung up on "resolving" stuff to their own liking. Closure is big for them. Anyway, everyone in Rebirth has big muscles, everything is bigger than life, and the drama drips off the page and into your bowl of trail mix.
