Review by Library Journal Review

Journalist Dupuich and photographer Beaufre visit over 100 homes of writers, designers, artists, journalists, and book collectors. They do not discuss bookcase construction or the proper care and storage of books but show in 220 color photographs how collections are displayed. In eight included interviews, owners discuss their libraries, reading habits, book arrangements, and ideas of a perfect collection. Most of the featured personal libraries are in London and Paris. With the popularity of reading on digital devices has come appreciation for bound pages and printed words, and this volume will inspire a sentimental literary crowd. (c) Copyright 2010.
