Some things are universal, without geographic, demographic, or psychological limits. This old-into-new import from Norway captures the genius of an interior designer's perspective and showcases its authors' commitment to repurposing not-so-valuable antiques. Any silver, china piece, or fabric, for the most part, becomes their canvas for re-invention. In fact, more than 10 individual photographs highlight their transformations, without much need for expensive tools or materials. A bunny mold, with the addition of plaster of Paris, becomes a doorstop. Potholders sewn together adorn cushions. Mismatched cups are the perfect holders for cupcakes. Shoeboxes get third lives with wallpapered skins. Instructions at the end sum up the 19 or so skills to acquire, all within any novice's capabilities, from stencil painting to stiffening lace with sugar syrup.
