Review by Horn Book Review

In these beginning-reader teleplay adaptations, Martha rolls in trash and can't enter the house until she bathes, and Carolina helps coach Helen's football team to victory (after initially hiding her football know-how from her girlfriends). Stinks! delivers a flat story line through rebus and limited text; in Fumble, Carolina's over-concern with football not being "girly" enough is annoying. Brief story-related activities are appended. [Review covers these Martha Speaks titles: Football Fumble and Martha Stinks!.] (c) Copyright 2014. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
