K-Gr 3-Niño's red wrestling mask and fearsome spirit help him tackle all types of foes from the Guanajuato mummy to the chamuco (devil), but can he face the most terrifying foes of all-his hermanas (sisters)? Adriana Sananes varies the tones of her voice to create tension as Niño takes on each of his opponents. Throughout the recording, Spanish terms are interposed, adding authenticity to a story about lucha libre (wrestling), and lively music accompanies the text. At the end of the disc is a note that clarifies some of the words and ideas behind lucha libre. VERDICT This is a treat to listen to and will be well loved by Latino and non-Latino families alike who are looking to add a bit of fun and culture to their day.-Katie Llera, Bound Brook High School, NJ © Copyright 2015.
