An appealing Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize winner, Kore-eda Hirokazu's (Still Walking, LJ 5/15/11) earnest domestic drama follows a few months in the entangled lives of two dissimilar married couples whose six-year-old sons were switched at birth. One father is working-class, earthy, and rough around the edges, while the other is upper-middle-class, careerist, and a bit snooty. Both wrenchingly deal in this very relatable film with a no-win situation in deciding whether to swap the sons they've raised in their own way. (c) Copyright 2014.
