Review by Library Journal Review

The latest entry in this craft series focuses on decorative objects made from paper, using a variety of techniques including cutting, folding, bookbinding, and quilling. Leech (Felt Sew Good; Fresh Prints) takes a whimsical approach, with lots of animals, flowers, and several patterns for those ubiquitous garlands that seem to appear in most books of this style. The projects require few specialized tools-most can be created with basic supplies such as a craft knife and metal ruler-and they're simple enough to let the choice of paper be the star. Standouts include a birdhouse-shaped desk organizer (sticky notes serve as the roof) and the attractive and fully customizable wedding guestbook. VERDICT Paper crafting is hugely popular, and there are surprisingly few books available on the topic. While Leech doesn't add anything innovative to the genre, paper crafters with an interest in cute crafts will enjoy these projects. (c) Copyright 2015.
