However, the text by Elle Decor senior editor and writer Ingrid Abramovitch (Restoring a House in the City) makes this volume more than just a collection of 200-plus color photographs depicting a range of professionally designed rooms. She describes the designers' craft and supplies their decorating advice, explaining the individual elements that produce such a stunning look. Sections that detail the design features of an individual room with quotes from professional interior designers are interspersed throughout, providing additional guidance.
