Review by Library Journal Review

An errant balloon with magical qualities becomes the companion of a young Parisian boy in this timeless fable by Albert Lamorisse, who relies much more on pictures than words to tell his affecting story. The director's White Mane, with its nearly as enchanting tale about a young boy and the wild horse only he can tame, also makes its disc debut. Newly restored, both of these treasured short films are essential for all collections. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
