Review by Horn Book Review

Pre-readers can practice their decoding skills with this simplistic yet accessible introduction to the brown bear's diet. There's not much depth (e.g., "The sun shines. It's summer"), but the bare-bones information is enhanced by close-up photos on every page--the main draw for budding wildlife watchers. A vocabulary tree and an activity reinforce the information presented in the leveled text. (c) Copyright 2016. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
