Review by Booklist Review
Sure to please kids who love facts, figures, and superlatives, these volumes from the Infographic Top 10s series approach large topics through short, thematic lists and related bits of information. On every page, the ideas presented are made easier to absorb through the use of graphic elements that are colorful, often small, and well designed for the purpose. These elements, such as simplified pictures, diagrams, and maps, make it easy to compare relevant data such as size or speed. Throughout each book, the visual components take up at least as much space on the page as the factoids and their explanations. Most double-page spreads include a top 10 list. Although People opens with data on parts of the human body, the book includes topics as diverse as record-breaking speeds by sprinters, the longest films ever made, and top sale prices for works of art. Packed with facts, these books will draw kids with their attractive graphics and highly accessible top 10 lists.--Phelan, Carolyn Copyright 2015 Booklist
