Review by Library Journal Review

Network rejection of David Lynch's post-Twin Peaks pilot episode for a new TV series allowed the director to resurrect as a feature film his vision of Hollywood as a place where hopes die. In her breakout performance, Naomi Watts stuns in a dual role as an aspiring actress whose dream of making it big ends up being the alternate reality of a waitress strung out on failure and at the end of her rope. By turns deliriously mesmerizing and frustratingly convoluted, Drive is dark, twisty, and surreal, but Lynch's fan base will enjoy his making lemonade out of lemons.
