At once a nostalgic nod toward, and a fun-poking look at, the early 1980s dying disco era, Whit Stillman's follow-up to Metropolitan offers more of the same smart social acuity and ironic humor. Kate Beckinsale and ChloI Sevigny are among the performers who portray yuppies in search of romance in a dance club unmistakably based on the legendary Studio 54.
