Review by Booklist Review

Twelve-year-old Sanjay and his best friend Craig, the talking snake, get into lots of silly, crazy, and gross misadventures in this comic based on the popular animated TV show. A variety of stories are collected here. A future Sanjay warns present Sanjay to not eat Indian food, or the world will experience a zombie apocalypse. The friends win a prize of free all-you-can-eat hot wings for 30 days from the Frycade, and their insatiable appetites prompt Frycade owner Penny Pepper to create monstrous living hot wings that terrorize the neighborhood. The friends secretly follow Sanjay's surgeon mother, convinced she is involved in a government conspiracy involving alien butts, and so on. Sanjay and Craig star in the Nickelodeon animated television series, and the stories here originally appeared in Nickelodeon magazine. Befitting the off-the-wall stories, the illustrators, replicating the animation style, fill the panels with wild cartoonish figures, bright colors, and madcap action. The stories are purely silly, wacky, and full of gross humor that will appeal to Captain Underpants fans.--Kan, Kat Copyright 2016 Booklist
