Review by Horn Book Review

In this French import, round-bodied Abigail hates swimming bcause her classmates call her "a whale." Her coach suggests she reframe her thinking ("we are what we think"), and both Abigail's self-perception and the perception of her bullies change for the better. Expressive illustrations showing the fantastical results of Abigail's positive thinking don't compensate for the story's blithe apathy toward the bullying. (c) Copyright 2017.
