In this latest from Shore, the creator of the popular Half Yard sewing series, instructions for 15 sewing room accessories are outlined step-by-step with color photos. These accessories are useful for the home sewer and as gifts (most could be used in other storage and organization contexts). The projects are designed to appeal to those who like a place for everything and everything in its place, something that can easily get away from even the most well-intentioned maker in the midst of a project. Instructions include measurements for the required fabric (no pattern pieces), and all but one project have 20 or fewer steps to complete. Quilting cotton and fusible batting are used to make almost all of the items. Projects include perennial favorites, such as pincushion, sewing machine cover, and sewing kit as well as items for which patterns are less commonly found, including a cutting mat and accessory carrier, a half-circle clamshell carry case, and a small machine-side ironing station.--Heidemann, Anne Copyright 2017 Booklist
