Review by Booklist Review

While nine-year-old good witches Tiga and Fluffanora endure their boring vacation on Cauldron Island, Tiga's fairy, Fran, alerts them that Peggy (the winner of the Witch Wars) has vanished from Ritzy City. The sore-loser evil witches, Felicity Bat and Aggie Hoof, have established themselves as rulers and are stirring up terror and meanness among residents of Sinkville. What ensues, amid hilarious faux pas of etiquette, are suspense-filled escapades, silly spells, and riddles for locating disappearing witches and fairies. The multicultural cast of witches and fairies from Witch Wars (2016) returns to Ritzy City to deal with the aftermath of the Witch Wars, find Peggy, and restore her to her rightful rule. Pounder's imagination holds true in this sequel, though readers will want to start with the series' first title. Her young characters and their antics are humorous and resourceful, if not outrageous. The mix of font sizes, invented words, plenteous dialogue, and Anderson's detailed yet mirthful grayscale illustrations will hold plenty of appeal for readers of this humorous fantasy.--Petty, J. B.
