The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) damage was discovered in Iowa City in 2016, and tree loss from EAB is expected to increase in the area over the next 5 to 8 years. What species of trees are good replacements for Ash trees? How will increasing the diversity among our tree species help avoid this problem in the future?
