Review by School Library Journal Review
PreS-Gr 1-Children and librarians alike will enjoy this charming new addition to the series. Similar in style to the beloved "Elephant and Piggie" series by Mo Willems, Yoon's bright and humorous characters return to a story, speaking via speech bubbles with a strong black font. The narrative is presented in three short chapters with quirky animal characters, reminiscent of the "Poppleton" series by Cynthia Rylant. The first story titled, "That's My Book!" will make a nice read-aloud for introducing students to the library and inform them about the best use of books (hint: they're for reading, not for playing dominos!). Although the punch line of the second chapter doesn't land quite as strongly, the final chapter is filled with the wit and humor that makes the series so enjoyable. VERDICT A great choice for beginning reader collections.-Maria Alegre, The Dalton School, New York © Copyright 2017. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
