After her boss embezzles funds, Sophie Kincaid's reputation as a PR guru goes up in flames. Forced to retreat from Chicago to small-town Revival, Sophie is sure her career and social life are over. Luckily, her best friend, Maddie, lives in Revival and has arranged a job and housing for her until her name is cleared in the city. But when Sophie arrives at her new place, she is greeted by her tall, dark, and sexy-as-hell neighbor. This does not make her happy. She can tell Ryder Moore is trouble, and trouble is her weakness. A hot and heavy game of cat-and-mouse ensues as Sophie and Ryder attempt to throttle their desires. The escalating sexual tension between them is too much to handle, they give in to their lust, and then find themselves unprepared for the connection developing between them. With the clock ticking on their relationship, they must discover the true meaning of home or leave each other heartbroken. Dawson's red-hot and funny fifth Something New contemporary (after As Good as New) is a sexy, sweet treat. After a career scandal upends the plans of driven Chicago executive Sophie Kincaid, she accepts a short-term consulting gig in tiny Revival, Ill., where one of her best friends lives. Wary after being raised by parents who cared more for each other than for her, Sophie's most emphatically not looking for love, especially in a town without a Starbucks or takeout food. However, she falls for hunky cop Ryder Moore, her new and very sexy next door neighbor. His idyllic childhood leaves him unable to believe that his new neighbor can't see her own worth. Explosive chemistry crackles between the two, and while they pay lip service to just having fun, it's obvious to readers that they're heading for forever; all the obstacles in their way are insubstantial.
