With the city under siege, half the rebels imprisoned, and Prince Ahmed believed dead, Amani is forced to take charge of the skeleton-crew rebellion in this heart-pounding conclusion to the Rebel of the Sands trilogy. Amani must play a game of cat and mouse with cautious alliances and negotiations with the Djinn to see the rebellion come back together and ultimately decide if she can sacrifice herself to save her country. After tricky negotiations with a legendary Djinni, Amani has the power to save one person, but can she choose between the rebel prince or her beloved Jin? Hamilton is a master of twists and unexpected surprises, and she again delivers shocking alliances, reappearances of characters long thought gone, and deadly choices. With intricate world building, breathless pacing, strong females, and a heart-stopping romance, this series is perfect for readers wanting a rich fantasy to fill the void between Sarah J. Maas and Renée Ahdieh.--Thompson, Sarah Bean Copyright 2018 Booklist

In this third book, half-magic Demdji Amani and the rebels fight to end the Sultan's brutal rule. But first they must save the banished Rebel Prince Ahmed from a mythical city. While there's a huge cast of characters and a multilayered story to follow, the gratifying conclusion to this magical fantasy, with its Middle Eastern lore and steampunk machines, should appeal to series fans.
