Review by Library Journal Review

Sarah Simblet's Botany for the Artist, reviewed above, is a comprehensive work with something for all levels. Swan's book is appropriate for advanced students and professionals who want to expand their skills. Most botanical artists use watercolors, but Swan feels colored pencil is the ideal medium. Pencils are immediate, portable, easily manipulated, and forgiving. A fine guide by an accomplished teacher of colored-pencil methods. (c) Copyright 2010.
