Carefree crochet 50 soft, fashionable projects that make you feel good

With projects ranging from hats and scarves to sweaters and even a bikini, Zamori covers all seasons in her first book. The author plays up the textbook openness of crochet stitches as most of the designs are in an open-weave pattern. While the title promises "carefree crochet," the patterns are anything but simple. Patterns and the stitches required are complicated and dense, and definitely not for beginners. The ability to read a crochet chart is also required to complete the projects. Several patterns require knitting skills and tools as well as crocheting skills. Unfortunately, the color choices of the pictured finished items and some of the designs make the book seem dated and old-fashioned. Luckily, crafters will be able to substitute more modern yarn colors for the patterns that inspire them. More experienced crocheters who like challenging patterns and who are interested in creating their own sweaters and cardigans will enjoy this book.
