Review by Booklist Review

CPA Richardson provides pragmatic financial advice to fellow millennials through a six-step program designed to eliminate debt, develop a budget, and build savings and investments, as well as tips for paying for weddings and first homes. Millennial Money Makeover is a compact book that offers topics on reducing debt quickly, building emergency accounts, and staying out of debt. Richardson writes in an engaging, well-organized manner that avoids getting preachy and offers sound financial advice appropriate for all generations. He is relatable, offering some of his own challenges and lifestyle changes. Downloadable worksheets and charts for readers to enter their goals and information are included; for digitally adept millennials, these may not be as helpful or relevant as a web- or app-based approach. Replete with motivational quotes, statistics, and behavioral-finance information, Richardson's book is well-researched. Though the information is standard personal-finance fare, Richardson's ability so speak to fellow millennials may motivate readers to accomplish financial goals.--Melissa Stock Copyright 2018 Booklist
