Review by Library Journal Review

Since the University of Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh as its football coach for the 2015 season, the Wolverines have had high expectations. Bacon, who has written a number of other books about Michigan football (e.g., Endzone: The Rise, Fall, and Return of Michigan Football) and coauthored a work with legendary Wolverine's coach Bo Schembechler, here takes readers through the 2018 season. During the preseason, Michigan was highly ranked and considered a National Championship contender. Bacon's knowledge and passion for Wolverines' football is apparent; however, most impressive is the in-depth access he receives to players and coaches. Included are details casual fans may not know about college football and the work that goes into creating a successful program. Bacon finishes by providing updates as to where Michigan players ended up in the NFL. The result is a comprehensive look at the players, coaches, athletic trainers, and support staff of Michigan football. VERDICT While Michigan's 2018 season may have ended in disappointment for fans, this work does not disappoint. For fans of the Wolverines, this is a must-read along with Bacon's other titles about the team.--Pamela Calfo, Baldwin Borough P.L., PA
