Imagine sitting next to someone weekly at lunch and getting an eerie sense that this person is just too normal, too banal, too ordinary. Former FBI agent Corie Geller has that itch as she observes Pete Delany and his almost imperceptible quirks--always sitting in the same seat with an unusual need to keep his vehicle clearly in view, his seemingly overlong selling trips, his reluctance to share personal information. He claims to be a package designer, but there is something more to this Delany package in her mind; Corie believe he has to be hiding something. Perhaps out of boredom stemming from her new life as a Long Island stay-at-home mom or an overactive imagination, Corie begins to seek help from former colleagues, her retired NYPD father, others in her lunch group, and her best friend. Extremely well narrated by Mia Barron, this audiobook is well paced and the clues are well crafted. VERDICT Highly recommended for fans of the author's other work or lovers of classic mysteries.--Joyce Kessel, Villa Maria Coll., Buffalo
