Matthew Williamson has been taking fashion on a global tour with his colorful and feminine confections since the inception of his own line in 1997. His work is often infused with inspiration he gathers from his exotic adventures. The appearance of Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Jade Jagger on the catwalk at his London Fashion Week debut, helped to catapult Williamson onto the international fashion scene. After much success in London, in 2001, Williamson made the move to show his collections on the bigger stage in New York. And then in 2005, Wlliamson took over as the creative director at Emilio Pucci, the Italian luxury fashion house owned by LVMH.
