Health Promotion: Wellness
Streaming video - 2015
A video from ECU's archive of documentaries and teaching films. Dr Grant Donovan, Wellness Officer, Western Australian Ministry of Sport and Recreation, puts the case for the 'Wellness Movement', arguing that health promotion has been too involved with disease avoidance and with professionally defined health needs. In contrast, 'Wellness' is about self-direction, self-actualisation, personal autonomy and the development of a community context which supports the health and happiness of each individual. Produced by David Crewes.
