Being Frank
Streaming video - 2019
A documentary about the life of eccentric comedian Chris Sievey who wore a huge paper mache' head and whose true identity was a closely guarded secret until after he died. BEING FRANK tells the twisted tale of a split personality, exploring the extraordinary secret life of a songwriter, artist, comedian and wayward genius. Sievey’s life was a fantastical, subversive piece of performance art. His greatest creation, the mysterious Frank Sidebottom, became a star – a manic, insane, mercurial star who obscured his own creator. The 2014 film titled FRANK starring Michael Fassbender was inspired by his sensational mystery. Nominated for Best Documentary at the **British Independent Film Awards.** Official Selection at the **SXSW Film Fes...tival**. *"Sievey was hugely dysfunctional, but his mania produced utterly unique, anarchic work - one couldn't have existed without the other. This is a meticulously crafted tribute..." - Alex Godfrey, **Time Out***
