Ages 3-5. Handsome and inventive illustrations tell a disarmingly simple story of a spider who diligently spins her web. Raised lines, for the spider's web, enables blind as well as sighted children to enjoy the story.

Carle's ingenious picture book featuring a spider who is too busy spinning her web to play with a variety of animals has been beautifully transformed into a smaller-format board book. The collages are as striking as ever, the repetitive phrases and onomatopoeic sounds as appealing, and the tactile experience of the growing web as rewarding.
