Toddler-PreS--It's Valentine's Day down at the construction site, and Valentine messages are being discovered all over the place in this lift-the-flap book. The trucks are busy lifting, pulling, pushing, and mixing. Each spread shows one of the trucks discovering a special message just for them; the final spread has a message for readers. The oil crayon illustration style remains consistent with the rest of the books in the "Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site" series, and the Valentine-themed flaps blend in nicely. This title is the right mix of a construction-centric story for young vehicle fans and a holiday tale. Young readers will find it a big hit. VERDICT A recommended purchase for most libraries.--Shana Shea
