Review by School Library Journal Review

Gr 1--3--Children may not expect to laugh out loud at a book about head lice, but that is just what will happen with this title. Bold colors and large font sizes emphasize the Spanish text, full of an abundance of facts are presented in such a fun way that they are easy to absorb and remember. Readers will learn about the different characteristics of head lice, including size and diet and how they spread among humans. Witty commentary from a piojo will have kids (and adults) dabbing their eyes as the little insect makes remarks in response to the narrative. This engaging informational text will be sure to grab readers' attention as tightly as lice hold on to hair. VERDICT A great addition to Spanish nonfiction collections for children, providing a solid and fun resource for reports on insects and to further inspire budding entomologists.--Selenia Paz
